{"id":5066,"date":"2023-04-27T07:59:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T05:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hfp.cin-consult.com\/news\/sponsoring\/internationale-bruckner-gesellschaft-ibg-2\/"},"modified":"2026-10-15T13:53:57","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T11:53:57","slug":"internationale-bruckner-gesellschaft-ibg","status":"publish","type":"hfp_sponsoring","link":"https:\/\/hfp.cin-consult.com\/en\/news\/sponsoring\/internationale-bruckner-gesellschaft-ibg\/","title":{"rendered":"International Bruckner Society (IBG)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The International Bruckner Society publishes editions of the music of the Austrian composer Anton Bruckner and related literature.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hfp.cin-consult.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Bild_Bruckner.gif\" alt=\"Portrait of Anton Bruckner\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><em>&#8220;Our task is to publish versions of Bruckner&#8217;s work based directly on the <strong>original scores (autographs)<\/strong> that Bruckner left to the <strong>Austrian National Library<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The society was first founded in <strong>Leipzig in 1927<\/strong> and then <strong>officially in Vienna in 1929<\/strong>. As an umbrella organisation, it brought together all the Bruckner societies of the time, aiming to spread understanding and recognition of Bruckner&#8217;s life&#8217;s work around the world, regardless of language or political borders.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1971 it has published a newsletter, since 1993 under the title <em>Studien &amp; Berichte<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board<\/strong><br \/>President: Dr. Thomas Leibnitz<br \/>Vice President: Tilly Eder<br \/>Secretary: Dr. Andrea Harrandt<br \/>Treasurer: Mag. Christian Klausner<br \/>Board member: Dr. Angela Pachovsky<\/p>\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong><br \/>The annual membership fee is at least \u20ac10. Members receive <em>Studien &amp; Berichte<\/em> twice a year, with news on the Bruckner Complete Edition and all Bruckner-related activities (concerts, symposia, exhibitions, publications, CDs and more).
